Do we get benefit when it is important to brush our teeth every morning after wake up?
what benefit we have achieved by these words?
Believe it or not, there was a time when no one brushed their teeth ever... where toothbrushes doesn't exist! If our ancestors doesn't need to brush their teeth why do we? But, of course people had to find another way to keep their teeth clean, disease free and as well as pearly white.
The solution?
Arise!
What comes into mind when we hear the words: Gooseberry, Charcoal, Chewing sticks, Guava leaf?
No idea right? These are all the natural teeth cleaning remedies. Nowadays, Indian dental surgeons suggest these remedies are the best and effective than a toothbrush and toothpaste by undergoing some studies and research. But you can all think will it be possible and will exist?
Why cant? We are following the modern techniques but are we having so strong teeth? Then why do we get toothaches, bad breath and bleeding gums?
A long ago 3500 BC people used to clean their teeth by chewing barks or sticks, and in 2700 BC people used feathers and bones as toothpicks.
Every modern life will suggest to move us to live and lead a technological life. Though everything have a change over in our day-to-day life there should not be any compromise on our health! we are following the ways they say but do we really face any challenges? Then why to compromise ourselves?
Let us know some techniques and methods what our ancestors followed! Tradition never fails you!
#1. Twigs from trees, helps to freshen mouth
#2. Use brick powder, salt or ash which helps the teeth clean and white
#3. Charcoal one of the most followed technique even in most of the villages as of now
#4. Mint+Rock salt which gets us relief from bad breath
#5. Haritaki Powder (Kadukkai powder) where we get a strong gums
If not this helps you some might think in this era, the above saying do exist in toothpaste too!
Yes I do agree, but do these only exist or some fluoride content too exist? Think off !
If not to follow the above saying at-least start the method called "OIL PULLING" which is an ancient ayurvedic practice .
Method:
Take a small amount of coconut, sesame or olive oil and swirl around the mouth for 10-15 minutes. This will cleanse or wash out the bacteria and toxins. This can be performed along with our daily routine brushing and flossing, which can help reduce gum inflammation
